About the founder
For the past 13 years, I’ve worked as a professional jeweler, but my journey into jewelry began during a difficult chapter of my life.
After the unexpected loss of my daughter’s father when she was only 6 months old, I turned to creating jewelry as a way to heal and move forward. What started with seashells and hand-strung pieces led me to my first jewelry show in 2008, where for the first time in a long time, I found happiness on my own again.
Over time, that path led me to education through the Gemological Institute of America and professional training as a repair jeweler.
Today, Reefcaya Jewelry brings together my love for jewelry, nature, and conservation through coastal conservation jewelry inspired by the use of ethically removed invasive Asian green mussels, collected under Florida regulations.
What began as healing through jewelry eventually evolved into a purposeful mission to create eco-friendly jewelry that raise awareness about invasive species.

This is what coastal conservation looks like. Every invasive Asian green mussel removed helps protect Florida’s ecosystem. A single female Asian green mussel can release millions of eggs into the water during spawning, allowing them to spread quickly and compete with native shellfish and marine life for food and space. By removing these invasive species, we support the natural balance of our waterways and protect the ecosystems that belong here.
